The HEPA filter is a high efficiency particulate filter, which absorbs dust particulates and cleans the air from those. The fibres on the inside of the filter are irregularly arranged, making the gaps in-between differently sized. All these factors free the air from particulates, which are smaller than the gaps in-between the fibres. For an effective filtartion we recommend exchanging the filter every six months.
The activated carbon bead filter consists of tiny activated carbon beads, which are able to filter toxins and pollutants out of the air. This way illnesses connected to soldering can be reduced noticeably. With the help of the filter 97% of the particles bigger than 0.3 μm can be removed from the air.
